Salary: £35,500 - £52,000 depending on experience and qualifications + uncapped bonuses (package up to £60,000 OTE including overtime potential)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional workshop team based in Carlisle. Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician:
- Complete work orders including details of repairs completed, parts required, and labour to be charged.
- Test vehicles using diagnostic and measuring equipment to provide accurate reports to the Workshop Controller.
- Interpret and use technical data and manufacturer instructions.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose faults using the latest manufacturer diagnostic technology.
- Remove and install vehicle components in line with manufacturer methodology.
- Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern.
- Prepare new and Approved Used vehicles to a high standard.
- Complete technical repair work in accordance with documented procedures.
- Record all work accurately, including labour hours and parts used.
- Communicate additional repair requirements to the Workshop Controller or Service Manager.
- Ensure all vehicle safety standards are met before return to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and protection of vehicles during service and repair.
- Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and organised at the end of each shift.
What we’re looking for from the Vehicle Technician:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent qualification).
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, MOT Tester, HGV Technician, or Auto Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for delivering high-quality workmanship.
- A team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Training & Development:
- Previous Land Rover experience is not required, as full manufacturer training will be provided.
