HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Fitter / Trailer Mechanic – Stoke

We’re recruiting an experienced HGV Trailer Technician, HGV Fitter, or Trailer Mechanic for a busy trailer workshop in Stoke. As an HGV Trailer Technician, HGV Fitter, or Trailer Mechanic, you’ll carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of semi?trailers to DVSA and manufacturer standards, ensuring safe, compliant, road?ready equipment across customer fleets in Stoke and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities (HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Fitter / Trailer Mechanic)
- Inspect, service, and repair semi?trailers to DVSA and manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and EBS faults (Haldex, WABCO, Knorr?Bremse)
- Complete job cards, inspection sheets, and all documentation accurately and on time
- Work to deadlines while maintaining quality, safety, and customer service
- Support workshop standards, housekeeping, and safe systems of work in Stoke

Skills & Qualifications (HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Fitter / Trailer Mechanic)
Essential:
- Hands?on experience working on semi?trailers or heavy vehicles
- Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
Desirable:
- HGV Class 1 licence
- IRTEC accreditation
- EBS diagnostics experience (Haldex, WABCO, Knorr?Bremse)
- Welding skills
- Axle manufacturer training (BPW, SAF, JOST)
- Tail?lift or double?deck trailer maintenance
