Location: West Thurrock

Salary: £30 per hour (OTE £62,400 per year)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 5 x 8 hour shifts

Night Shift: 21:30 to 06:00

Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for a high earning night shift opportunity in West Thurrock?

We are recruiting for skilled HGV Technicians to join a leading commercial vehicle dealership operating within a global manufacturer network. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician to work within a modern workshop environment with strong investment in training, EV technology, and career development.

As part of a growing night shift team, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring maximum uptime for customers and supporting a busy and expanding operation.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to main dealer standards
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair work
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and safety standards
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
• Work efficiently to support workshop productivity targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Experience with computer aided diagnostics
• Ability to work night shifts independently
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Main dealer experience
• IRTEC accreditation
