HGV Technician
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: Up to £25ph (£55,000+)
Shift: Monday to Friday, late shift 1:30pm - 10pm
Extras: Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate, Saturdays paid at OT rate, 30 days holiday
We’re looking for a skilled HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter to join a professional and supportive team. You'll be carrying out repairs, servicing, and diagnostics on HGVs in a well-equipped workshop with ongoing training and career progression on offer.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on a range of HGVs
- Support the workshop team in maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and colleagues
- Work efficiently to manufacturer standards
- Complete job cards accurately and on time
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Essential
- Previous experience as a HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
- Previous Trailer Repair experience
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good team player and communicator
