Salary: £19.50 per hour (£40,560 per year) + Overtime at 1.5x (OTE £46,000+)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Rotating shifts: Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 | 30-minute paid break

The Role

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician, you will:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete PMIs, inspections and MOT preparation to DVSA standards
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Complete warranty paperwork, job cards and service documentation accurately
• Support roadside breakdowns when required
• Work safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Help maximise vehicle uptime through high-quality repairs

The Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician role, you will need:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work to DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Full UK driving licence
• Mercedes-Benz or main dealer experience is advantageous but not essential
