HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter Exeter

Location: Exeter
Salary: 40,000 to 55,000 per year DOE
Hours: 07:00 to 15:30 and 15:00 to 23:00 Monday to Friday
Shifts: Alternating early and late shifts plus Saturday mornings 0830 to 1230
Job Type: Full time permanent

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

• Carrying out servicing repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles
• Completing diagnostics and contracted maintenance
• Supporting MOT preparation and ensuring vehicles meet required standards
• Working to manufacturer standards across all repair and service work
• Keeping the workshop safe clean and efficient
• Working with the team to deliver high quality service to all customers

Requirements for an HGV Technician

Essential

• NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Strong technical understanding of heavy vehicle systems
• Ability to work both early and late shifts

Desirable

• Experience within a dealership or fleet environment
• Additional qualifications such as IRTEC
• Experience with diagnostics software
