HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Mechanic (Roche, Cornwall)
Location: Roche, UK
Salary: £39,520 to £41,600 per annum, dependent on experience
Shift: Alternating weekly shifts:
Week 1 07:00 to 15:30
Week 2 13:30 to 22:00
Any hours over 40 per week paid at overtime rate

We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy, well-equipped commercial vehicle workshop in Roche. This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician who takes pride in maintaining fleets safely and efficiently, enjoys diagnosing and repairing faults, and thrives in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
- Carry out routine maintenance inspections and servicing on HGVs and commercial vehicles to DVSA standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and diagnostic faults
- Complete all work to high quality and safety standards
- Use workshop equipment and diagnostic tools effectively
- Maintain accurate job records and service documentation
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and efficient workshop environment
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician
Essential
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- HGV driving licence advantageous but not essential
- Experience in a main dealer or structured workshop environment
