HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter – Oxford
Location: Oxford
Hours: 40 hours per week, alternating 07:30–16:00 & 13:30–22:00
Pay: £18–£19 per hour depending on experience
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a busy, professional workshop in Oxford. This HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter role is ideal for a committed Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for long?term stability, structured training, and a supportive team focused on safety and high?quality maintenance.

The Role:
• Carry out major and minor repairs on HGVs
• Complete inspections and planned maintenance
• Diagnose faults to DVSA standards
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Keep workshop area clean and safe
• Support occasional roadside repairs
• Assist with apprentice development
The Requirements:
• Level 3 HGV qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI)
• Experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
• Strong diagnostic and fault?finding ability
• Knowledge of DVSA compliance
• Full UK driving licence
