Role: HGV Technician / Truck Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician
Location: Reading
Hours: 4 on 4 off, 06:00–18:00, with overtime opportunities
Pay: OTE up to £48,672 per annum plus overtime at 1.5x
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an HGV Technician / Truck Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Reading. If you are experienced in HGV maintenance and repairs, this role offers structured training, career progression, and the chance to work with Mercedes-Benz trucks.

The Role:
• Perform major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles
• Carry out inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose faults and assist with repair planning
• Maintain accurate workshop records and documentation
• Provide emergency roadside support when required
• Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
The Requirements:
• Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
• Experience in diagnostics and service repairs on HGVs
• Ability to identify worn or faulty components to DVSA standards
• Full UK driving licence
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
