Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Panel MET Technician / MET Technician / Strip Fitter / MET Fitter / Vehicle MET Technician. You’ll be confident carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs and bring extensive hands-on experience within a busy accident repair centre or bodyshop environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Panel MET Technician / METTechnician / Strip Fitter / MET Fitter / Vehicle MET Technician:
- Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on damaged vehicles
- Carry out repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Diagnose and rectify faults relating to vehicle systems and components
- Ensure all parts are fitted correctly and vehicles are returned to pre-accident condition
- Work closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Sprayers and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain workflow efficiency
- Conduct quality checks throughout the repair process
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations
- Proven experience as a Panel MET Technician / MET Technician / Strip Fitter / MET Fitter / Vehicle MET Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
- Recognised apprenticeship and relevant qualification such as NVQ, SVQ, VCQ or ATA accreditation
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim repair procedures
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair methods, diagnostics and manufacturer repair standards
- Experience working on both minor and major accident damage repairs
- Strong team player with excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
