A well established commercial vehicle specialist is looking for a skilled Mobile Trailer Mechanic / Trailer Technician to cover the Motherwell area. This is a permanent mobile role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, visiting customer sites, and keeping fleets safe, compliant, and on the road.
You will be provided with a fully equipped mobile service unit and full support from a strong technical and operational team.
The Role of a Mobile Trailer Mechanic / Trailer Technician
- Carry out inspections servicing maintenance and repairs on trailers at customer sites
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently using a mobile service unit
- Ensure trailers meet safety standards and roadworthiness requirements
- Work closely with the wider engineering and support teams
- Maintain accurate records and job documentation
- Deliver a reliable professional service to customers
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
- Proven mechanical experience working on trailers HGVs or similar vehicles
- Strong fault finding and repair skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Trailer Technician
- Knowledge of trailer braking systems suspension and axles
- Good customer facing communication skills
