Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: Up to £25 per hour (£55,000+)
Hours: Monday to Friday, early and late shifts
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate, Saturdays paid at overtime rate
Holiday: 30 days

About the Role
Tru Talent is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join our client’s professional and supportive team in Hemel Hempstead.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter to carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on HGVs within a well-equipped workshop.
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, previous HGV experience and the ability to work efficiently to a high standard.
The Role of the HGV Technician:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on HGVs
- Carry out trailer repairs and maintenance
- Complete diagnostic and fault-finding work
- Work efficiently to manufacturer and company standards
- Complete job cards accurately and within required timescales
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and service advisors
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Follow all relevant health & safety and company procedures
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter
- Previous trailer repair experience
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
