Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician looking for your next opportunity in Heathrow?

We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy main dealership workshop working on one of the industry's leading commercial vehicle brands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician to work with the latest diagnostic technology, modern workshop equipment, and a supportive team while earning between £40,000 and £55,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using advanced manufacturer diagnostic equipment
• Complete MOT preparation, inspections, and tachograph related work
• Carry out repairs to manufacturer and DVSA standards
• Perform final quality checks before vehicles are returned to customers
• Support and mentor junior HGV Technicians within the workshop
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

• Skills and Experience

Essential

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Experience carrying out servicing and repairs on HGVs
• Own tools
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Desirable

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• IRTEC accreditation
• Main dealership experience
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic systems
• Knowledge of DAF commercial vehicles
