Salary: Up to £50,000 per year

Hours: Average 45 hours per week

Shifts:

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm

Week 2: Monday, 1:00pm to 10:00pm, Tuesday to Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm

Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for your next opportunity in Birmingham?

We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy, modern workshop maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician to join a professional team with excellent earning potential and long term career prospects.

If you have experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles, this role offers the chance to work with modern diagnostic equipment in a well equipped workshop where quality workmanship is valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Inspect vehicles and prepare them for MOT testing
• Repair and replace vehicle components as required
• Complete all work to manufacturer and DVSA standards
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
• Work closely with the workshop team to maximise vehicle uptime

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• Experience within a dealership or commercial vehicle workshop
• Manufacturer training or accreditation
